Did you hear about the teenager that found out she had Crohn's disease by obtaining a slide of her own intestinal tissue and looking at it under a microscope at school? This was after her doctor told her he didn't know what was causing her stomach problems.
More than ever these days we need to be our own advocate when it comes to staying healthy. Trust your instincts and pursue more than one opinion if your ill and not getting better.
Write down any questions you have before your appointment with your physician and pull this list out during your visit to make sure you don't forget to ask about something important regarding your problem.
Keep track of the medicines you are taking and keep a daily log of how you are feeling and if the treatment is helping your symptoms. Call your doctor and let them know if what they prescribed is not working.

Juicing Vegetables... is this the very best way to get nutrients for your body?
Using a juicer is the only way to break open the tiny fibers of vegetables according to Jay Kordich, "the Juiceman." Inside these fibers are where all the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes we need for our bodies are located.
Our digestive tracts are unable to break open these fibers, so eating whole vegetables provides us with the fiber we need to help clean out our intestines, but to obtain the nutrients, vitamins, minerals and enzymes locked inside vegetable fibers , juicing them seems to be a necessity.
Juicing vegetables, as well as eating vegetables, seems to be necessary to get everything beneficial from them. A juicer should be considered in every household to aid in providing the nutrients your body needs from vegetables to stay healthy.
